One month until Obe Wan is 10....& I'm going to be 10 lbs less!

March 2013
On my way to have Obe Wan!
One year ago (2014) I was training with the GymBF to run my first 10k. He had to listen to me cuss, cry and be an overall "B" when it came to running. I hate it. I wish I could say I enjoy exercise and it is SUPER fun. (SPIT, VOMIT, GAG.) I will always battle weight. I believe it is in my genes. Both of my grandmas had diabetes and I really don't want to join them. When I was told in 2012 I had to go on Metformin I knew I had to get my ass in gear....literally. So, I started slowly with diet changes. Yeah, those suck. But, look at me....hubba hubba. I am heavier here than when I was PG with the Jedi Knights.
This is nuts to look at pictures through the years and see the weight gain. I have found with the physical and emotion stress of the move I turn to food for emotional support. There is a commerical on the radio for Little Debbie cakes right now....it is so me! It says You deserve a cake, YOU USED YOUR BLINKER TODAY! You deserve a cake, you got the KIDS TO school on time!!!

35 weeks PG with J-Bird
I can justify ANY achievement, fail or really, any moment with the reward of food. I need to reward myself with a walk or as my MIL is always telling me go buy you some panties....I have 1,000 pairs of underwear and I still am overweight. (And half of the panties don't fit my big ass anymore! TMI!)

So, we get to this. I have found I don't like running and it is extremely hard on the body, but I do LOVE being outdoors and I LOVE spying on my neighbors, so I am going to start walking....tomorrow, Monday, April 13. I have found some plans on, yep, you guessed it, PINTEREST and have mixed them together to start the best walking schedule for me.

SUICIDE CURVES!
I am blessed to have a treadmill thanks to the in-laws, so the weather will not be a consideration for me. I also have NO parks close by and walking in my neighborhood is difficult because when you live on the KNOB and the roads look like this.... You really have
to drive to find a safe and semi-flat course. I will have to drive 2/days a week to a park that is 10 minutes away. I will go there RIGHT after I drop off the Jedi Knights, otherwise it will not happen. I will get up and get dressed accordingly. I cannot keep using the weather or being tired as my excuse. I also cannot use exercise as my excuse to eat more throughout the day!

IT IS 30 MINUTES for FIVE days. I can do this. I sit on my computer doing stupid crap for 30 minutes a day. This is totally doable!

Week ONE:

Monday: Go to the park. Walk quickly. Get a feel for the terrain. Total time = 30

Tuesday: Walk around my neighborhood. Walk for a timed 30 minutes. Walk 5 minutes at moderate pace, walk one minute like a BAD GUY is chasing me! I should be able to do the 5 minutes 4 times, with intervals in between.

Wednesday: Walk DOWN the suicide hill for 15 minutes. Walk back up to get my ass home for 15 minutes.

Thursday: Go back to the park. Have my IPOD with some good songs, or better yet, an audio book so I can feel like I'm getting two things done at the same time! (Oh how I do love to multitask!) Total time = 30

Friday: Complete Tuesday work out again! Make sure I get to 30 minutes!

Saturday: Walk around Six Flags St. Louis, MO (We're going to meet up with Ms. Music Teacher and her choir!)

Sunday:  REST

Wanna join me???
