Hump Day is for the Hills!

Well, it was rainy and overcast here today. Why in the world would I feel motivated to walk down Devil's Butt Crack Road? Why would I even want to put clothes on and leave my house? Oh yeah, because Prince Charming is home for the first time in 16 days and the wonderful IN BMV called and said my paperwork from Kansas arrived and I could go get my car tags. (And Prince Charming could get a driver's license....)

I was having a pretty good day---I had spent most of the day with Prince Charming and the other half in the garden. I left around 5:30 to go to Ace Hardware because they emailed me a TAX DAY only coupon for $10 off a $40 purchase. I needed more plants and I believe a bench for my garden, so I figured I could surely spend $40 at Ace! Not to mention I needed some other things for an upcoming Pinterest project. So, I get home around 7, way later than I thought and way past dinner time...oops! I never get to be out in the evening, so it was kinda nice to know the babies' daddy was home and he could deal with his offspring!

I walked in to discover he had already fed them dinner and was waiting to have dinner with me! I promptly grabbed a beer and sat down to feast on the grilled (left over) steak when the PHONE RANG. Yep, it was my good RH buddy who decided she too would start walking for 30 minutes a day. She was out of breath, but wanted to see how my walk had gone today. BOO. Hiiisssss. It hasn't. Sigh, well shooot. If she is out there doing it and it is my freakin' idea, I better get off my ass and out the door.

I think this would be perfect for my new home on the KNOB. I would be INSTANT friends with my neighbors if I put this in my front yard!
I finished my beer. I didn't think it would be appropriate to walk down the Knob carrying a beer while walking super fast. I am trying to make a good impression for at least the first year. BUT hey, I did find this on Pinterest and am seriously thinking about how lovely it would look in my front garden.

I can't seem to find instructions on how to make it though. I will keep Googling this fine little dandy.

I did manage to walk 20 minutes down the hill when my Portland sister called. She probably wondered why I was so out of breath and sounded like I was about ready to keel over. It is what happens when you are old and out of shape. Any ways, I slowed down significantly as I hadn't talked to her in ages as she went to the happiest place on Earth last week and I wanted to hear ALL the details of how her visit with the Mouse went! It sounded like she had a good time. I also had to fill her in on all my life stories.....I managed to walk for 40 minutes thanks to her phone call. I still didn't do so hot on my steps today, but that is okay. I do love my FITBIT. Best thing I bought to try to help me have an active lifestyle.
