Hoppy Easter!

The Hunt is ON!

Treasures await!
Look high and low!
Last Saturday we enjoyed a hunt with all the cousins at Nana's house! It was fun. There are 7 grandkids with ONE more on the way! They range from Obe Wan at 10 down to Wichita Brother's nine month old.

Wichita Brother with his oldest and youngest
Nana has a cottage garden that is FULL of goodies. It usually takes the adults several walk thrus before all the eggs can be found. The kids each had a color
and had anywhere between 10-14 eggs full of sugary goodness. Every year you get a bonus in your eggs---ANTS! A little bit of protein with the sugar is what I say!
This little girl has some amazing blue eyes!

It is always fun to catch up, laugh, cry, argue, yell, whisper and exchange glances with my family!

She just announced baby #3
 is on the way!

Wichita Niece

Wichita Nephew--he is surrounded
by eggs, but none of them are
his! Poor little guy!

I really need to find drama classes
for J-Bird!

Gabby, the ol' lady, is showing her age. She enjoyed
the hunt...more like the food they dropped!
So after about 20 minutes, the adults have to jump in and find the rest of the eggs. Moms are counting and putting the eggs into Dillons bags. Nana has us empty all of her eggs and return them for the next hunt. Nana does a super job of having fun goodies for the kids! The boys got boomerangs and we have been playing with them everyday until the RAIN came this week!
The adults are looking! I don't exactly know what Wichita
Brother-in-law is doing....
Isn't he SO big? Obe
Wan is no longer the little
guy! This will
be his last hunt....
It was a fun afternoon and evening. The food was the traditional fair that we have every year. Now that we are on the Knob for the holidays, we will change it up! We are going to smoke a ham and have some potatoes. DO YOU KNOW how much sodium is in a HAM!?!?! I will have to compensate with his diet the rest of the week!

In honor of my "Aunt" Jane who passed away this last August, we will have Mimosas for breakfast with a low-sodium sausage roll and cinnamon roll recipe I found. I will blog that next week!

Hoppy Easter to everyone in the Land of OZ!
